According to the latest news reaching our organization, the security forces of the Islamic Republic are attacking and arresting workers in the nationwide strike of truck drivers in numerous cities. Other activists of the strike, who are mainly active in social media, are also threatened and intimidated by repressive bodies. Many others have been summoned in by the security forces.
On the fifth day of the third round of the nationwide strike of truck drivers, the government officials responsible have not only failed to respond to the demands of the strikers, but have chosen open confrontation out of fear to stop the unity and solidarity of truck drivers and stop the spread of the strike to other industries Oppression has been put on their agenda.
The solidarity strikes with the truck drivers, such as the passenger fleets in Khuzistan province, which also protested against the miserable economic situation, continued today. Some travel companies such as Iran Peyma, Hamsafar, T.B.T, Royal Safar and several other companies in the cities of Ahwaz, Abadan, Khoramshahr, Mahshahr, Izeh and elsewhere have canceled their full service and canceled ticket sales.

It is clear that the strikers can not and should not believe the empty promises of the government organs. They can only make their demands through solidarity and the continuation of their nationwide strike, through the support of other drivers and workers, and through organized combat.
